What to be 100% sure
This is nearly a month of colonization. Albino Penis Envy RHS spawn 1:2 with bucket pasteurized CVG.
Doesn't smell bad. mold or good growth?

Hey! Is it your another tub?
Could you please take a few more photos so I can see the whole cake, the central part and all the corners clearly. Make sure there are no shades, reflections or blur
The upper part is fine, it looks like fluffy tomentose mycelium. But this circle-like growth (see attached photo) is questionable and I need a full better views to check it properly 🧐
Have you already provided fruiting conditions (fresh air exchange, light, some misting if necessary)?

That's correct it is. This is Albino Penis Envy. I was about to toss it and actually touched it so hopefully that didn't ruin anything. I'm going to put the filters on tonight and start FAE. I'll take more photos, then
I don't like the circle-like pattern and so thin myc growth! Seems like early contam to me. Do you already see any color besides white on the cake?
Spray the top layer of the cake with 3% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and show me the cake after treatment.
If it’s mold growth, it should dissolve after applying H2O2
Looks fine. Let's check it again in ~3 days
Excellent! Thanks!
I have a sterilized spaghum moss casing later ready. Should I add that now or is it too late?
It's never late for casing. But we need to check the cake again in 2-3 days to be sure it's healthy before applying casing.
Have you prepared a pH adjusted casing substrate? What is it made of? Is it just sphagnum moss, or does it also contain slaked lime?
sphagnum moss, vermiculite and slaked lime
Well done! It's great to use, but later
That I was concerned about – the pattern of growth (circle-like), texture (loose, curdled) and eventually timing (the cake turned green in 3 days). Now we're 100% sure it's mold contam Penicillium blue-green mold
We tried H2O2 treatment, but it would have been useless anyway for such a large affected area and zero mycelium growth.
Toss it immediately (it's better to do it outdoors)!
ok will do!
