Trichoderma?

Guessing yes from some other images I’ve seen. Should I remove what I can of the mold and burn around the contaminated area? Can I still harvest the flush?

Hello! Yes, you’re right, it’s mold contamination. Unfortunately, you can’t save this cake since it’s already green, which means it has reached the sporulation stage and is spreading spores throughout the cake.

But yes, you can still harvest your shrooms. How should you do it?

Take the box somewhere outside your growing room (or outdoors). Wear a face mask. Cover the contaminated area (and the surrounding area) with salt or baking soda to seal it and help prevent further spore spread. Then harvest all your mushrooms, but avoid the ones growing through the moldy area. Dry the mushrooms properly until they are cracker-dry. Here’s the guide: How to dry shrooms

Toss the cake and wash the box with bleach.

All the best 🙏

Your shrooms are strong fighters and look great! What strain, btw? Is this the only tub you have?
