psilicibin content in small shrooms

I heard that a small shroom has the same content of psilicybin as a large shroom. Is that true? Does the fruiting body have all the psilicybin it will have when it fruits?

Not really. Initially they may accumulate most of the alkaloids, but not all of them. And yeah, aborts are considered more potent.

To know for sure you need a lab testing. But your results will be different every time!

The fact is that the alkaloid content (psilocybin, psilocin, baeocystin, norbaeocystin, aeruginaskin) always varies from grow to grow, from flush to flush, and even between two neighboring mushrooms within the same flush. That’s why it’s recommended to grind up different mushrooms to achieve a relatively average concentration for a trip and, especially, for microdosing
