Why are my mushrooms fruiting on the sides and underneath? Can you eat this? Does it have any potency?

hottubfoot: they are growing towards the closest light source, if you want to reduce/eliminate side and bottom pins make sure theres absolutely zero light getting to those areas. most people do this by using liners or painting their tubs. for me, ive kept my cakes away from all light sources except the grow light i have placed directly above them. Having good field capacity and surface conditions will also reduce the side pinning
